I believe the CCFC Committee should come to some sort of agreement with both Vassell and Tomlin and pay them up, not all of course, but three to four years of injury, sick, not fit, injury ill, not fit.
There is is only so much you can take from these pair.
Now one is supposedly ill and the other needs to get fit again, you could not make it.
They are not a good influence and it’s only ever negativity we hear.
Even if they played well now for say 15-20 games this season, Our club has had the piss taken out of it for nearly four years and £millions upon £millions wasted.
It will never be worth it, of course they will shine at some point this season as they will want a new contract or a new club.

The club knew their injury records and offered them their current contracts. Why would they accept anything less than what they are contracted to? Particularly during a time when injury prone players will struggle to find clubs.

I do agree the Committee fucked up big time, and yes it would be hard to get rid, but just so fed up of hearing a broken record about the same two, then every now again how it’s now going to be brilliant with them back year after year.
I know they tried to get rid Tomlin this summer.

I'm sure the club would love to get them off their books. Probably costing us the best part of 40k a week. Whatever peoples opinion of them though, we could really do with them both this season.

Tomlin?? I'm sticking my neck out and saying he's neither injured or unfit. He's too expensive to play and MM is being told not to play him.
Frankly, even a half fit Tomlin is better than most of the other players in our team.
Let's say we pay them both up. We lose two players, and most definately won't be getting replacements. If I knew we could replace, then Id support getting rid, but we need as many players, and at least one game changer in our team to make us competitive.

Tomlin a little different as he is proven to be chamionship stardust though his range of "problems" appear to be more self influenced and inflicted.
Even if Vassell was fit I doubt he would be good enough.

he was fit for his final 6 months at brum after like many players being injured ..
passed his medical ..
and we were not the only club in for him....
good enough ?...looks like we will never know ....but was brought in as back up ..but only playing a handful of games over 4 years would have an adverse effect on any player so even if he was good enough then..ots less likely now...
i think he has been extremely unlucky but at some point {probably now } the club and player should be looking at career ending insurance..

Vassel started just 5 games in 2017/18 and 18/19 put together. He made a further 18 appearances from the bench. Scoring one, 1, goal.
