I believe the CCFC Committee should come to some sort of agreement with both Vassell and Tomlin and pay them up, not all of course, but three to four years of injury, sick, not fit, injury ill, not fit.

There is is only so much you can take from these pair.

Now one is supposedly ill and the other needs to get fit again, you could not make it.

They are not a good influence and it’s only ever negativity we hear.


Even if they played well now for say 15-20 games this season, Our club has had the piss taken out of it for nearly four years and £millions upon £millions wasted.
It will never be worth it, of course they will shine at some point this season as they will want a new contract or a new club.

Have to agree with you Annis. The pair of them are never ending and i think they are in the comfort zone of knowing that the money is coming their way if they play or not ! Time to end the contracts [ if possible ] !!!

How do you propose the club end their contracts? You said it yourself, money is coming their way whether they play or not so why would they accept their contacts being paid up for less than 100%?

The worrying thing is MM is counting them in his squad numbers? Doesn't he know they'll only play dozen games between them if lucky!

I'm sure the club would love to get them off their books. Probably costing us the best part of 40k a week. Whatever peoples opinion of them though, we could really do with them both this season.

Tomlin shined for a new contract .

Of course we want every player to do well and it can only help us.

But even you with those comments are surely fed up of him 4 yrs later???

And he has done this at 6 clubs in a row.


Hindsight on Tomlin it was their to see with all his previous clubs and should not have had a new contract.

Our 8 youngsters are costing between them all £4,000 a week.

Let's say we pay them both up. We lose two players, and most definately won't be getting replacements. If I knew we could replace, then Id support getting rid, but we need as many players, and at least one game changer in our team to make us competitive.

I can’t remember Vassel playing it’s that long a go and Thomlin blows hot and cold when he has managed to play. I agree, it’s about time we let them go…..

I think Vassell has been extremely unlucky and there is no doubt he is trying to get fit.

Tomlin on the other hand is a complete piss taker, he'll turn up with 10 games to go this season to put himself in the shop window. Sorry, lost all patience with this guy who obviously has problems outside of football.

23 games out of 92 does not demonstrate a great fitness record in my book. 1 in 4. Granted may be a few more when on the bench but not used.
