I think the main reason City fans were not there

Tue Aug 10, 2021 3:11 pm

I think the main reason for the low attendance 17,000 last Saturday for City was the drop in season ticket numbers, which tends to happen gradually after relegation ( some bought in the hope of prem football 2 years back, then it was the hope of promotion)

A couple of years of fairly bland football and no real hope of a promotion challenge, plus ticket office closures, confusion, lack of exciting signings, lack of ambition by our board etc and it’s a few thousand down again.

Slightly worrying and a pity we couldn’t win as a good start would have helped , anyway roll on Millwall home and should get at least 20,000 as City fans know how to buy their tickets now   I wonder if they had found how to buy them quicker if type had been Liverpool home

2 crowds in our division were above 20000 11 were below 20000 .I thought crowds in general would have been bigger

Be lucky to get 3,000 tonight I reckon.

Can't see Sutton bringing many.

Can’t be arsed after the last 4 years of drivel, on and off the pitch. A lot of lads I speak to say the same..

"Can't be arsed..." is not something anyone should be open to admit; but sadly, I know of several who have not/will not return after the Covid break :(

For a few of us it’s the way we play.. it got worse after Warnock left, which I didn’t think possible.. as someone said, they missed a trick when Harris left

I think the odds were stacked against us for getting a good crowd unfortunately. Shit weather in the hours leading up to kick off, people on summer holidays, small away crowd, the confusion with the ticket availability cause of the WAG, etc.

I was hoping we’d hit the 20k mark and thought that would be a really good turnout given the circumstances so 17.5k is a bit disappointing. However, I reckon the Millwall game will see an increase on that :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
