Jonny Williams has paid tribute to Cardiff City fans following his summer departure, and admits his stay didn't pan out the way he wanted.
Williams was released at the end of last season and, despite initially only signing a short-term deal, admitted he was surprised at the decision, adding that he was under the impression that he would be staying in the Welsh capital.
The 27-year-old is currently without a club since his departure from Cardiff City Stadium, and has now paid tribute to Bluebirds fans following his time with Wales at Euro 2020.
Taking to social media at the weekend, Williams wrote: "Late message due to the Euros.
"Just wanted to thanks all of the CCFC fans for the support since I joined.
"Shame it didn't' work out the way I wanted but wishing Cardiff City all the best for the season.
"Looking forward to the next chapter."
