West Brom clinch Reach deal

West Brom have signed Adam Reach on a three-year deal.

Reach has been on Cardiff's radar, the Welsh club had enquired about Reach, but he will now follow the likes of Alex Mowatt and Matt Clarke through The Hawthorns welcome door this summer.

The versatile player spent five years with Sheffield Wednesday, filling in at left wing-back and further forward.

"It’s clear that West Bromwich Albion is a very ambitious club," said the midfielder.

"I share those ambitions of wanting to play in the Premier League.

"It’s the most exciting challenge of my career and it’s certainly the biggest challenge of my career.

"I pride myself on making a lot of appearances for clubs. I want to make plenty of appearances here and have my best years here. I just can't wait to get started."

Ambition to be in premier league? Should be got better chance than other clubs to be promoted this season that's why I signed for them and no one else. :o

We had three years of parachute payments and never took our chances and never made the most of it.

Fully agree annis the size of our club made it ripe for progression once got to premier league but as you've said poor decision making as cost us... really need a total change of mindset and hierarchy inc owner to change things

Great player.

Sadly we now can't compete for these kinds of signings due to our financial position.

It's the same for lots of clubs now... I've said before relegated teams have learned to cannot get promotion back to premier league unless you keep side together and enhance it and thats what clubs have been doing past couple seasons ? Only need to look at last season with Norwich and Watford to see the benefits of this practice...we sadly like others did not do this in our time in top flight.

Allan,

Yes the present regime , time to leave as they have taken us as far as they could and a lot of bad decisions, costly .

The problem is anyone new will find it very hard to deal with them as that’s been the case the last two years.

Got to wonder why though as thought tan would love to get club of his hands even with a smallish loss on his part.... but other owners have been same being very fussy or reluctant to sell .. maybe this year will change things with players wages coming down so making club more streamlined and better proposition to buy..
