Just looked. If you log in to ticket site. There's a few new options.

One shows a QR code and download it.
Send it as SMS.
But it also mentions delivery method 'paper ticket'

I'm sure the club will explain.

I've got two ST's and I've tried to use the app and also my account accessed via the laptop but still no joy. I get as far as the download option for the Barnsley 'event', hit 'download' and then I get an error message advising the site is down for maintenance. I tried via the app last night and got the same message. I can see the option under season tickets that says 'Barnsley Event' but you can't click onto it. If you then 'go to card' it does have an option to select 'mobile virtual card' but the underlying transaction is wrong i.e. it's not allowing you to select the 'Barnsley Event.

I've read on FB that some folk (not many) have managed to download the vticket successfully but there appears many more who are encountering problems. I also don't see any option to physically print a ticket at home as I read that it was an option on another post.

The other thing is that my son's account is linked to mine and when you click into his ST, it doesn't give you an 'Options' menu to do the download.

Just wondered if any of you guys were encountering the same issues or whether you'd been able to download OK? I can ususally navigate my way through this stuff but I can't find a way as it stands.

Hi mate and thanks. I've just managed to download mine and my son's vtickets pretty much as per the instructions you posted above. When you get to the send SMS bit on Mobile Virtual Card, do remember to omit the '0' at the start of your mobile number before you hit 'send SMS'. Received a text within a minute, clicked on the link and your ticket is displayed in a browser. I haven't worked out a way of saving it onto an android phone so I've taken a screenshot and I'll keep the SMS message with the link.

Confusingly, there is also another download option that is displaying the error message of site maintenance. If you follow the instructions above then you should be OK.

I did this on the laptop as opposed to the app BTW.

Have the club sent any formal notification regarding entry for the Barnsley game? I have received no e mail or other communication - so am expecting ( probably like thousands of others ) that my season ticket will turn up in the post over the next few days.

As far as I'm aware no and there is no formal advice on the website. I read last week that STs will be sent out mid-August so I was concerned about how to get into the Barnsley game given it's only a week away. I also read that some folk had managed to download the 'virtual ticket to their phone which after a lot of hassle I've managed to do today. I tried via the app last night and failed so emailed the club to request paper tickets as I read that some people had also some it but as said, I spent some time today accessing my Bluebirds account via the laptop and subsequently succeeded in download our tickets.

The club needs to make a formal statement on this in terms of what fans need to do if indeed STs are not getting sent out this week for sure, it needs to at least be on the website. As it stands, people have had to play around with their account and see what works by trial and error. Hope everyone manages to sort theirs out as I can see it potentially being a nightmare for some for next Saturday.

Will our old season ticket cards be loaded ready to use for this season? Yesterday was the first time that I’ve used the digital option on my iPhone, and initially it wasn’t working, same problem for others in the queue. Worked eventually but can foresee problems at the gates next Saturday with a big crowd anticipated…

Just read on FB that apparently City will be making an announcement possibly tomorrow on the Barnsley ticket situation and it looks as though their going to have a simple solution for it, which is good news if true.

I'm having exactly the same issue, I've even downloaded my ticket but when I followed the instructions to press the clubs crest I just get a black screen. Why can't they just send out paper tickets?

Bit of a faff but managed it in the end.

Go to account. Barnsley ticket should be there.
Click on the square on the diagonal arrow at the bottom it will open a new page.
Scroll down to View 'mobile ticket'.
Opens another new page.
Don't put in your mobile number click to 'display link'.
It opened it as a web page for me. I just screen shotted that.

Just been on website and it says that current season ticket holders will soon receive a unique email / sms messsge that they can use. If this is the case, why are people trying to download the link themselves? Or have I missed something?

Barnsley ticket is best bet to use as st have not been validated and new ones coming before next home game....I've screen shot Barnsley as well as got my two tickets one in txt and one in mail.. so dont get confused at turnstile
