No way this will stand against a legal challenge. It is simply threats to try and get those not vaccinated to get one, likely to backfire imo. What Boris fails to understand is many of the people not taking vaccines won't because they don't trust the government, this action feeds conspiracy theories further.

If dripford follows suit, I will be seeking legal advice myself.as not everyone CAN be jabbed!!

Anyone who is not double jabbed unless it’s for health reasons is an idiot!

It would be very difficult to enforce. If say they require you to produce that little blue card what is to stop someone borrowing their dads card and producing that as evidence they have been jabbed are they going to ask people to produce a passport or drivers licence to authenticate the card. Imagine the chaos trying to get 60'0000 people into a ground. Same thing if you have to download evidence from an app just borrow someone else's. They will be selling fake immunisation letters on the Internet five minutes after the law is passed.

I agree that it's just a ploy to scare young people into getting jabbed no way is it enforceable.

Part of me agrees with this but also the government shouldn't be forcing a vaccine on people ,if people don't want it then it's there choice.just like with masks if you want to wear one wear one if not don't.

It certainly would be difficult for clubs to correctly administer.
I understand they are currently looking at sports crowds of 20,000 or more, which generally excludes us. (except the Swansea game perhaps) However, Mr Drakeford may have his own ideas shortly. This remains to be seen.

I have never personally been in favour of vaccination passports, although I am a big supporter of the vaccination programme. With around 90% of adults double jabbed in a couple of months time, we may find that many fans would be happier to see something like this brought in and think of it as an incentive to attend matches.
Potentially, the people who could not be vaccinated for proved health reasons could be excluded from this requirement.
The others would miss out.

Then, what do you do about unvaccinated kids?

As an alternative, perhaps a pre-match covid test could be completed before entry to the ground, but only if the result was instant and accurate. It's my guess that may also be too difficult with thousands of people queuing to get in.

Whatever the outcome, the effects are certain to seriously reduce the number of fans attending the matches affected by such a ruling.

Stand by for what could be a bumpy ride'

Medically except people will be catered for and children are not part of vaccinations programme certainly not under 16s so not a problem there.... as for those who choose not to be vaccinated not sure theres anything they can so as ccs like .most grounds are private property and can set own conditions of entry as long as dont break discrimination laws ? I suspect those Choosing not to have vaccine wont be covered by any discrimination laws..... and also suspect mandatory jabs will come under same umbrella as wearing
masks on public transport and didn't see any legal challenge to that? but best wait see what transpires

I really despair at the advance of the nanny state and sheer paternalistic attitude of our government.
Statism yes when the pandemic too hold but not now when we should be embracing freedom.
This virus is here to stay and we’ve got to live with it but it’s disproportionate to shackle the country.

the government would change tack if public opinion was strongly against .... and you dont need to look any further than the threads on here to see that some would be happy to go much further...

I've got my Vaccination Passport but I notice it only lasts about a month, so have to reapply

Personally, I have no issues with needing one, as it helps keep people safe. However, consideration has to be given to those like Since62 who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reason

Maybe a similar 'Passport' system could be put in place much as the registered 'Mask Exemption' ones

It's certainly a toughie but all things have to be considered

Chris there will be a way around things for people like 62 same way you'll need proof of vaccine will need proof of exemption...... as it stands I need letter off gp when go to Antigua because cant wear mask on plane so dont see problem... as for those that wont get vaccine its their choice so if this is implemented it's their problem harsh but thats the reality of things

The point being missed is the double, vaccinated rule applies to England not Wales.
Drakeford did say ther were no such
plans for Wales.

Thats good because in wales you cannot get a passport as Welsh app doesn't have it to download like in England...so if you want to go away game you cant as no proof of vaccination unless they accept vaccination card when received jabs? but if you didn't have jab or couldn't have jab your screwed... this also applies to concerts ect in England.
If you are unable to have jab for specific reasons like health that is covered by Englands passport app so can gain entry to events

I appreciate what you say allan, but as a registered disabled person, it's not a way around things we are looking for in all truth.
I have contacted the club, and have recieved a reply (which I promised I would report what they reply) simply put"we are awaiting further instructions From W.A. We will endeavour to reply with further details, as soon as we receive notification ourselves.
Went on a bit further, saying they understand the frustration of fans, and not just disabled ones.but currently have no real news to give out. I fully understand their predicament, as we are all under orders, as to what dripford may or may not allow!! So in no way am I having a go at the club, but am finding myself feeling a little lost, as to if/when I may/may not attend a game :sad7: :old: :bluebird:

If Boris implements this then Drakeford probably won’t! And if he does all the club have to do is limit the crowd to 19,999 which will probably only make a difference at one or 2 matches

Unrelated to the jab but Johnson is the biggest fraudulent, unethical, incompetent piece of shit that has ever been PM - and there is a lot of competition.

How anyone can vote for Johnson after the last few years is beyond me.

He has been sacked multiple times for lying, was caught organising to beat a journalist up, he cheated on agirlfriend he was cheating on his wife with (FFS), he literally sticks his dick into anything, he admitted cocaine use, literally his career is littered with homophobic and racist slurs, denied covid was real ("I have been shaking hands with covid patients"), allowed HIS government to give out BILLIONS worth of PPE / T&T contracts to Tory donors and chums (we will have a public enquiry into this), disregarded the ethics committee, appointed school chums to senior positions despite them being totally unqualified, made a hash of covid responses (lockdown boom and bust doesn't work - FFS, put in place social distancing, PPE, quick covid testing, access control mandates etc .... but keeping everyone locked up / then letting everyone do what they want - its madness), he fucke3d up BREXIT - FOM, single market (he and Davies is now even admitting his oven ready deal is shit) and he refuses to sack people when inquires show they are guilty of bullying, crimes and unethical behaviour. The Tories are selling YOUR NHS data for cash and slowly selling off parts of the NHS to their 'chums'. And now, him and Petal are attacking our already soft media with restrictions of FOI.

Finally, he appointed family members, chums, donors and even a fecking russian spy top the House of Lords. What a sack of shit he is. 300 quid a day WE pay people the privilege of being peers in the HOL - its now nearly 900 members.

Yes, Starmer is absolutely benign - but at least he wouldn't be as useless as the above.

Before anyone accuses me of being partisan - I am not a Labour supporter - I hated Blair and I thought John Major was one of the best PM's we had in my lifetime, despite being a Tory. And even Thatcher, who I despise, wouldn't have put up with the levels of corruption and crimes that this bunch of grifters are committing.

Rant Over...

Happy Friday (I think I need the season to start!) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
