Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is reportedly a target for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with the Bluebirds and started brightly before tailing off towards the latter part of the campaign.

Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman said back in May that he would love to have Ojo, and his team-mate Harry Wilson, back on loan this season, when he told the BBC: "Liverpool knows our desire to have [Wilson] back - in fact both of them back - we'd love to have them on loan back."

However, it looks likely that a loan exit will not be available for Ojo and he will likely now seek his permanent exit away from Anfield.

And according to AllNigeriaSoccer, who specialise in news and updates on players with Nigerian heritage like Ojo, Bayer Leverkusen have made the out-of-favour winger a “primary target” to replace Everton their first-choice Demarai Gray.

Ojo was omitted from Liverpool's pre-season squad which travelled to Austria and he has began pre-season with the club's under-23s, almost certainly pointing towards the exit door.

Well that's scuppered any chance of him coming here Annis, not that I think we were in for him this time around, I think he will do well if he goes to Germany. :ayatollah: :old: :bluebird:
