SEASON TICKET SUGGESTION

Now that we are selling out certain sections on occasions, wouldn't it be a good idea if the club set up a scheme where season ticket holders that can't make a particular game, could inform the club and these tickets could then be made available for re-sale.

This would help to have sell out crowds without the ten to twenty per cent of vacant seats that are visible every match even when we insist its a sell out.

It would help provide extra revenue for the club, help create atmosphere with more people in the stadium, and also stop a lot of waste.

Personally I'd be happy just to know the club are getting extra revenue form what are wasted seats if left empty, but possibly they could come up with some sort of incentive to encourage people to notify the club that their seats are available for certain games.

my company were doing some work on a scheme for wolves at the beginning of the season, where everytime you informed the club you couln't make a game, providing wolves sold the seat you got a credit towards next years season ticket, sounds like something the club should be looking at, we save a bit, they make a bit, everyones happy

Great idea, seeing as I can only get back for about 5 home games/year my ticket's hardly used.

I agree, works at most Premier league grounds. I cant make the Millwall game because im in Scotland so it would be ideal for me, for that one game

This is a good idea, the Board have no doubt looked into this or a similar scheme but they are soooooo slow implementing it.

I mentioned this a few weeks back. My mate suggested I ring the club about it but know doubt one of the learned friends on here will do it for me. I think it's a reallygood idea.

Good idea....except they'd probably mess it up and you'd end up with 6 people trying to share YOUR sesat!! lol

Seriously, it could be done with a few 'safeguards' in place.

Has anyone thought of suggesting it to Paul Guy up in the 'posh' seats???? Never understand his motives there....unless it's some kind of statement to the club (and its supporters)??

Lots of clubs do this and have been doing so for many years. Some give credit, some just resell and some give things like shop vouchers or discounts off next years ST if you inform them that your seat is available for resale.
