" Up to 8,000 allowed for Newport & Southampton games "

Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:36 am

Bluebirds supporters will be able to return to CCS later this month for the first time since February 2020…

We’re delighted to confirm that City’s pre-season games against Southampton (July 27th, 7pm) and Newport County (July 31st, 1pm) will allow us to welcome a limited number of supporters back to Cardiff City Stadium for live football.

In line with Welsh Government social distancing measures that will remain in place during July, Cardiff City Stadium is able to operate with a holding capacity of 8,000 for each of these games.

Both fixtures will be sold on a first-come-first served basis to home supporters only and will be available to purchase online only from 10am on Tuesday, 20th July.

Supporters are encouraged to purchase within family or support bubbles (up to six tickets per transaction).

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors under the age of 16. For all corporate hospitality queries, please email sales@cardiffcityfc.co.uk.

Live streams of these fixtures will be available to all supporters.

Further information:

- Cardiff City’s fixtures with Cambridge United (July 17th) and Exeter City (July 24th) will be played behind closed doors.

- Forest Green Rovers have published information to say that away fans will not be permitted to attend the fixture on July 20th.

- All fixtures, including the Southampton and Newport County games are available to stream live via Cardiff City TV, priced at £3 per fixture.

- Further updates will follow in the coming days in respect of permitted attendance numbers for competitive EFL fixtures, starting with our Championship clash against Barnsley on August 7th.

If read it right no restrictions on meeting people or social distancing would mean no limit at CCS but think need clarification as it would be subject to risk assessment which means council safety group involvement ? :?

Wishy washy stuff from Dopey again - can’t he just do what they’ve done in England for football matches.

If so, expect overkill from council.
