Brentford make move for Harry Wilson
Tuesday 13th July 2021
Newly-promoted Premier League side Brentford look the most likely side to seal a permanent transfer for Harry Wilson, according to reports.
The Sun and The Daily Mail state that the Bees are ready to bid £10million for Wilson's services - a move which seemingly makes sense for all concerned.
The report claims that Wales international Wilson is wanted by a clutch of Championship sides "headed by Swansea".
Wilson's former loan club Cardiff City are no doubt also in the mix, but WalesOnline understands a Swansea move for Wilson is wide of the mark.
Cardiff are only able to loan Wilson, as the club are this season the Welsh Club are only getting free agents and loan players in.
Cardiff are real admirers of Wilson following his seven-goal stint on loan last term, however the prospect of a permanent transfer away from Anfield looks likely to scupper the Bluebirds' plans.
Whether Liverpool would be willing to allow Wilson to depart for £10m remains to be seen, given they were seeking closer to £15m 12 months ago.
