The Euros has seen millions of middle class clowns hitch their wagon to football, people who’d normally have very little interest and even less knowledge of the game are wringing there hands and wetting their panties over the behaviour of England Fans. Criticising the booing of the opposition’s national anthem, with the comments sections of the Guardian, Independent and Mirror full of Clarissa’s and Tarquins questioning why can’t these knuckle dragging, shaven headed, Neanderthal, drunken , violent, Rightwing, Brexit supporting, racist, xenophobic (and my own personal favourite) builder types be more like the spectators at Twickers, Lords or Wimbledon. They just don’t get it and they never will, leave our game alone.

I noticed a lot more middle aged women supporting England, the welsh rugby daffodil head types.

i think they will leave it alone in general....like the rugger its the big event these are interested in...strugle to fill grounds for region/club rugby no matter if your giving tickets away.. then Engerland at the millstad money no object...

Yeah the same types you started seeing down the city when we went up first time around!

Jock, I've long said we have become a nation of 'in vogue' bandwagon jumpers and it's a shame...

The 'corporate' industry has milked this to the hilt and only a certain section of society can afford the prices charged for really big events, so we get a high (apt word) proportion of "I was there" boasters rather than real supporters...

Same pricks who vanished when we went down.

It’s the players also.. just watching Spurs v Cov in the 87 final, and Ardiles just rolled off the pitch to get treatment with the game in progress. Fans standing so a proper atmosphere, and when Kilcline basically scythed Hodge, fat Ron says ‘mmm, ponderous’. Ha ha... great stuff

Only down side were the big slugs on the upper lip..
