Hull are under a transfer embargo https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/f ... fl-5626043

It’s understood the embargo relates to a loan the club were given by the Football League to help come to terms with the devastating impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen the income of clubs nosedive with stadiums closed for 18 months.

The restrictions do not relate to any transfer the club has been involved in.

A consequence of the embargo means that the club are unable to sign players this summer for fees, instead they’re forced to bring players in that are unattached or loans with the parent club paying the players’ salary.

The Tigers are one of three Championship clubs currently under restrictions, with Derby County and Reading the other two.

Should City’s owners the Allam family fulfil the terms of the loan and repay it in full then City’s embargo will be removed and they’ll be free to operate under normal conditions.

Historically, the EFL have remained tight-lipped when it comes to divulging which clubs have been sanctioned, however an agreed change in the regulations agreed by all clubs recently meant that as of June 7, they were able to report.

In fact, when Hull Live contacted the EFL just last month about the possibility of the club in an embargo, they refused to comment.

I would be amazed if this is a serious issue, there's no way we would be allowing players out on loan if we couldn't bring replacements in.

You can still bring players in on loan or sign free transfers up to a squad of 23

I am wrong on signing players that are not registered you can

And you all think we have problems, we will be ok, but poor Derby, they really are in it

Cardiff City
Regulation 51.2.3 - Default in paying transfer fee instalments

Derby County
Regulation 16.2 - Failure to provide audited annual accounts

Regulation 16.3 - Annual Accounts not filed with Companies House

Regulation 17 - Default in payments to HMRC

Regulation 51.2.3 - Default in paying transfer fee instalments

Profit and Sustainability Rules - non-submission of audited accounts

Hull City
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

Reading
Breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules

Sorry but you cannot, because you would not be able to register them

So if only 10 players on clubs books you can only make the 23 up with academy players? It says transfer embargo? Correct me if wrong but a free agent is not a transfer neither is a loan player? How do they become transfers to fit in with efl embargo..

With regards to the transfer embargo i believe this is not Active as it is currently suspended pending The appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas)which was originally due to be heard in Spring 2020

Three Championship sides HAVE been placed under a transfer embargo by the EFL.

Late on Wednesday, just before England's Euro 2020 semi-final win over Denmark, the league confirmed that Hull City, Reading and Derby County are all under new restrictions ahead of the new season.

In simple terms, it means all three sides(cardiff not being one of them ) are unable to pay any transfer fees this summer and can only sign players released by other clubs that fit within the financial restrictions the EFL impose.

Wez this is nothing to do with the Sala fee that is down to Fifa/eufa, that is ongoing and we are not under an embargo for that as it is on appeal.
This is the EFL that are emposing the embargo for the breaking of their regulations and at this moment we are on their list.
