What's the situation?
James was probably Wales' best attacking player of the tournament. He started his Manchester United career like a house on fire, but his form dipped slightly thereafter.
He enjoyed a strong back half of the season last year, though, and showcased some of his best goalscoring form once again.
However, United have sought to bolster the right wing, the position in which James operates, and have secured the £73m signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
That adds to the winger stable which already includes Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, while Paul Pogba has been deployed on the left wing and Juan Mata has just signed a new deal.
It all points to James seemingly having an almighty battle on his hands to up his game time.
However, James' former manager at Swansea City, Graham Potter, could offer him a way out. It has been claimed that Brighton want to sign the winger this summer.
Potter is thought to want to buy James, 23, this summer, but would also be open to exploring the option of a loan.

Im hoping if he goes anywhere its not brighton, he will stagnate there imo.

I'm glad he didn't sign for leeds bielsa would farm him out we got better..
