Places to avoid in Pontypridd?

I'm off to Treforest to check out the uni, gonna check both campuses (Treforest and Glynntaff), then gonna pop up to Pontypridd. Any areas I should be avoiding?

im in the glyntaf campus. its better imo less hills 
but the area is shite are you moving there?

check out another campus as my missus said the only good thing is the exit onto the a470

Nah my misses is moving to the Trefforest campus and studying in Glyntaf, I'm studying in Trefforest but living at home.
The uni itself is nice, especially the students union!

Ponty is ok. I am in Glyntaff campus also, im on always in Ponty as my missus lives in Ynysybwl!
