How old is that photo? ;)

He is probably pulling the same old trick again. Last year of his contract, gets fit, scores and makes goals, gets a new contract before pilling on weight and faking injury for 2 years

If we get a good year out of him then that’s ok.

Agreed I would be delighted if we got a good year out of him, but what we must not do is offer him a new contract unless it's for a year only on a paid as you play basis.

If he really is fit it could make a massive difference for the team. Fingers crossed!

He’s lost a bit mind, judging by the training pic.

I think you will find, money seems to talk! During lockdown last year, amir kahn managed to hold a party there, in fact broke the rules more than once ;) not saying it is a recent photo, but people are managing to travel.

Need a brain scan for mentality before you look at pictures.

A joy to watch.

Frustrating that he isn't the most naturally fit player, but at our level he is top class. 3-4-1-2 may just suit him perfectly :ayatollah:

been out a year and spent most of it unfit and of course he is a year older.... god knows how effective he will be....

Don't talk about him he's watching every word

Hope we get to see him next season some time - a team needs a maverick, an enigma outside all the steady eddies

Re: Tomlin looking skinny no more mr fatty.

Sun Jul 04, 2021 5:18 pm

Needs a new contract so of course he's got himself fit.

That’s no problem. Get a tune out of him this year and offer ‘pay as you play’ contract at end of year. If he refuses,

Agree. A fully fit, 100% committed Tomlin is a far better option than Harry Wilson. If only !

Agreed. When he's fit he has much bigger impact than Wilson.

Tomlin's natural frame means he will never look 'ripped' but that doesn't mean he is unfit right now either...

He has some work to do to convince Mick McCarthy he is worth a place in this season's squad never mind team

Whisper it quietly, but it remains that the ideal scenrio for Mick McCarthy would be for another club to take him off our hands and free up the considerable amounts of money we continue to donate to him each week as things stand

Some Bluebird supporters live in an Utopian world, where Tomlin will finally turn uo and put a full shift in but history (not just at the CCS) shows that to be an unlikely scnario and our astute manager knows that

Has he ever defended him? I don't recall anything but criticism; yet other injured players have seemingly had that support (Vassell included)

Seems it's all about attitude and professionalism...

Concur with that. The only midfield match winner we’ve got.

even on a free transfer its very very difficult to see anyone taking on his wages ....so the hope has to be that he realises without a half decent season he will find it extremely difficult to get any sort of anywhere come next June....
