Posh boss delivers warning over Clarke-Harris
Monday 26th June 2021
Peterborough United chairman has reiterated that star striker Jonson Clarke-Harris will not be sold on the cheap this summer.
The 26-year-old is a wanted man after netting 33 goals last season, with Cardiff among a host of clubs to have been mentioned as possible suitors, although the recent signing of James Collins may well have caused them to look at other targets and the fact their is no money available to manager Mick McCarthy,
Scottish champions Rangers have also been linked, but Fry believes it will take a significant bid to tempt the Cambridgeshire club into a sale.
He told the Transfer Tavern: “Do I expect bids for Jonson Clarke-Harris? Yes I do. Will they be enough? I don’t know.
“Because we don’t want to go up to the Championship and be also-rans, we want to go up to the Championship and stay there and progress further, so it’ll have to be a good offer.”
