Bluebirds take look at Non-League striker

Cardiff City are reportedly keeping tabs on Solihull Moors forward Kyle Hudlin.

The striker caught the eye with a strong finish to the season for the Non-League side, grabbing 10 goals having joined them from Midland League Division Two Side Solihull United last October.

The 20-year-old is thought to be the tallest outfield professional footballer, standing at 6ft 9ins and is said to have attracted the interests of Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Huddersfield Town.

However, well respected reporter Alan Nixon has said Cardiff are now also asking about the front man.

Really don't mind this.

He is 20, raw and despite his height, seems to have a bit of everything. Funny enough most of his goals last season were scored on the deck! Although I think he must have an amazing assist stat based on the headers he won to set up an attack or shot.

As a youngster and back-up this would be a good punt.

The last young striker from non league (most of his career until a move to league 2) hasnt been given a chance yet other than being looked at in training.

Worth a shot but if history is anything to go by he won't get long to impress!

Tend to think this is a non runner too. MM won't even give a glimmer of a chance to Watters despite the fact he was scoring prolifically in league two or our under 23s. Think MM prefers known quantities like the guy from Luton and Martyn Waghorn.

Is it too late to draft him into the Lions squad as a specialist line-out jumper ?

Maybe we should stop recruiting from other football clubs and start taking a long hard look at the British basketball team.

Who was our last Non League signing to make it? I know we’ve had many failures!

Way too small for my liking , prefer a bit more height in the penalty area .
