I was chatting to Irish guy I play squash with a few times a week last night about football and the issue of Cooper moving to Palace came up. His observation, not mine, was that the Jacks have been both incredibly unlucky with managers moving on but also lucky that they have had a relatively steady supply of adequate replacements. His view was that at some point their luck is going to run out and they will end up in some difficulties.
A tricky one for me because while I rejoice in their misery, as they do ours, I don't want to see them struggle to the point of relegation due to the fact they have Welsh players who need to be playing at a high level.
But he did make an interesting point... the reduction in their academy status, losing some key players, loan signings returning to their clubs and a manager leaving - adding to their strange US ownership of the club, could mean trickier times for the cave dwellers.

They don’t hit the jackpot every time.

I'll believe their demise when I see it.
Start of every season we talk about this demise happening like now as in this season only to be proved wrong. However, with the absence of Phillip aka Roathie just perhaps this could be the season for it to happen.

There was also that American coach Bob someone or other.
That said they have got an amazing success record. Roberto Martinez, Brendan Rogers, Michael Laudrup, Gary Monk, Graham Potter and Steve Copper.
They have made a few bob out of compensation fees for these managers as well.
Mind you for years I have predicted that their luck must run out at some point and it has never really happened. I still dream of them being relegated next year but probably their luck will save them again

Spot on. The saying goes "you make your own luck" but that club has a luck factory producing tons of luck somewhere.
A classic example was qualifying for last years play offs due to Nottingham Forest imploding with a 4-1 defeat to Stoke who had nothing to play for at home and Swansea winning 4-1 against 10 man Reading to overturn NF goal difference!
Lets hope the luck factory has been closed down and they finally get their just rewards with League 1 football

I predict they will appoint a fantastic Manager and finish the league top by fifteen points!
They won't go down!
My Swansea predictions are almost always wrong

Id quite happily see the yanks milk the club dry and bolt as they drop down to league 2. They have given us enough shit over the years so they wouldn't receive any sympathy from me if they hit hard times.
But, their implosion has been predicted every year since they got relegated and they've actually done better each year. A large section if their fan base do not want Cooper there next season. I can't see them spending a lot of money and I'd think they'd miss his contacts if he left.
