It's stupid no doubt but not unbelievable. If I was in need of assistance for anything I would want the most capable person regardless of race, sex, religion or anything else.

I’m not looking to debate the subject as it wouldn’t be professional, but thought I’d give the latest information having researched ahead of giving a presentation and attending an interview. It might provide an alternative way of looking at it for some people.
