COVID TEST EVENTS!

Tue May 25, 2021 3:42 pm

early data from the various test events show 15 positive cases out of 58k attending.... no positive cases at 02 arena where 4k people
attended brits awards masks and
social distancing was not used in this even..... also no cases from Wembley 20k in attendance. So things looking positive for June's lifting of most if not all restrictions...:o

Drakeford's bitches at Wales Online are already printing articles questioning whether the Indian variant means that any further lifting of restrictions could be postponed.

This despite no deaths in Wales yet again today and only 19 new cases of all variants (including this "super contagious" Indian variant) and huge numbers of vaccinations having taken place in Wales.

They are absolutely taking the piss now but have been given a clear mandate to do so by a country which gave them carte blanche to do what they like for the next five years.

It's no good looking to England to lead the way 20000 for the cup final.Half that number for the EFL playoffs.18000 for the Edgbaston test. Now the covid passport policy is to be dropped.Their policy is all over the place.Incidently a covid negative test is not needed to enter Wembley stadium for the EFL PLAYOFFS.
Drakeford needs to take the lead to let vaccinated people into stadium and gigs.

These numbers following test events are indeed very low however as everyone attending had to provide at least one negative test before attending are not surprising.
Surely to get a true picture people should be attending without a test and be tested afterwards. Only then will we have a true picture, after all 10,000 people after testing negative for Covid attending an event should result in 10000 negative tests after the event

Most are vaccinated now, money man and what about the cost; something that is always close to your heart...? :?

On a seriots note, there has been and will continue to be a heavy cost to the Welsh/UK economy, if restrictions are not lifted

Should it happen? I honestly don't know, as I am not part of the assessment process but I will say that the already fragile health, wealth and well-being of our citizens will be further eroded the longer this goes on and will (literally) take decades to recover from; something successive Governments will use as a tool to their advantage

Time to open up, let the nation breathe and, if anything, confine the anti-vaxxers to barracks

If not, what point the costly mass vaccination programme? :?

Chris if the Welsh lockdown continues then you have to blame the people that voted Drakeford back in for 5 years
( On the ticket of his handling of the pandemic) :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:
Or perhaps it is only me that thinks he made a mess of it?

Looks very much that England is not going to lift the lockdown on 21st. June so you can bet Drakeford will follow suit!

As safe a bet as it gets, Rog... :(

Drakeford can say what he likes but we all know the ONLY reason he got in is the intransigence of the majority in Wales who (ironically) favour the red when it comes to voting...

Baaaaa...! ;) :laughing6:
