It was said he has had his demons in the past, perhaps covid was too much for him to deal with?

In no way making excuses for him,as imho, if he comes back "fat" MM should blow him out straight away!
But we could ALL do with a "much needed break" on the sun no doubt!

Here's hoping he goes away, takes stock and realises he is a professional football player.

Rightly then decides to get fit, impress his boss and then rip defences apart and shows us fans what a quality player he is.

i get peoples frustrations but seriously...if fit he is our best player

I have slated him myself in the past, but you are right. With no wilson in the side, we seriously lack spark & creativity, lets not forget his role in dragging us to the play offs(whilst carrying injury!) If he returns fit, he has to play(and earn his wedgde).
