Will be a great loss , but currently injured and 32 next birthday.
Looking forward to see who we bring in to play alongside Bagan.

A great servant to the club but maybe it is time to make changes.
If we were looking to sign him as a player we didnt all already know - injured and aged 32 - this board would not be happy. Same things should be looked at when renewing a contract.
I have already mentioned along with a few other on here that we should be looking to go in for the FREE transfer of Amarii Bell. Decent player, young, fast paced. Wages will be considerably lower.

Have to agree, and despite being a good servant to the club, if he has got a better deal at another club, so be it.

Totally agree. Shame but live moves on...

Shame - I was hoping, just once, to actually see Bennett use his right foot. Alas it will never now happen!

yes they all do... if an extension is not sorted by the end of the final window that their contract covers they can negotiate elsewhere...

Great servant and worth a one year deal surely, if only as cover and to help Bagan.

I know, let's keep all the injured, overweight, older players and see how we fair.
No time for these so called servants, they are getting paid vast amounts of money but still want even when out injured, he was offered a deal , he refused , Next.

A fit, out of contract Joe Bennett could command a tidy signing on fee and a decent 3 year year contract from another club. But he wont be playing early season and there is no guarantee that at nearly 32 and with a serious injury behind him that he will return to best. A bit of a risk for another club in my opinion and this will be reflected in terms he is offered by any potential new club.
I think he will stay.

Where the f@ck did I say that?? We are talking about Bennett! He got injured"at work" so gets paid, what is your point exactly? He isnt like a tomlin for instance!! He has turned down our offer, his choice, but he has been a great player for us, and deserves a modicum of respect imo!

think the fact he has turned an offer down from ourselves suggests he has been offered better elsewhere.... ?

The offer was pre injury and a 1 year deal. City haven't offered anything since
