well we've lost money on city bets during the season, why not through the summer on out horse

Back in the early eighties there was also a horse called Cardiff. On its first or second time out a few of us were having a pint before a home game - Swansea i believe- when we noticed its name in the paper and thought we had to have a bet. We were a bit late leaving so instead of popping into the bookies had to rush for the train.No online betting then. Last word on the subject was "we will kick ourselves if it comes in". The inevitable happened and it romped home at 20-1!
Anyone else remember that horse?
You would have to be at least 55 to remember it.
