“ On the 36th Anniversary / Never Forgotten RIP My Fellow Friends “
Today on the 11th May 1985, 56 people lost their lives and approximately 265 were injured when a horrific fire broke out in the stands of Bradford City during a celebration football match.

It’s the 36th anniverary of this tragedy, please find the time in your busy lives to remember them. I KNOW I WILL.

I personally knew four Bradford City fans who lost their lives and to this day I know how it still hurts in the community of Bradford .

You should not go to watch a football match and sadly never return home to your loved ones.

Back in 1985, on this day, 56 supporters lost their lives whilst watching a game between Bradford City and Lincoln City, when a wooden stand caught fire.
On the same day a young Leeds United fan died when a wall collapsed during crowd trouble at Birmingham.

had just jumped in the car after our game at Plough Lane and it was all over the radio... that was the first id heard and having sat in the stand which was rare i just kept thinking all the way home
there for the grace of god...

watched it a number of times and its still hard to believe what starts off as a small fire in the corner of the stand spread as quickly as it did and took so many lives...

Yes very sad.. then two weeks later was Heysel. Those moments when you always remember where you were..
