VERY SAD TO SEE FROM OUR OWNERS / COMMITTEE

Tan / Dalman & Choo for me this is awful to see, the fans are the lifeblood of a club.

Football Fan led Government review:


Newport County are among the top-ranked clubs in English football for fan engagement in a newly-published survey

The index for 2019-20 had fan-owned League Two Newport fourth of 91 teams from the Premier League and EFL.



Championship side Cardiff City sat 77 places below their neighbours at 81st with Swansea City 28th.



The index has been published ahead of a UK government-led fan review, which will consider supporter involvement and ownership models.

That's shocking (for our club) not too long after being named 'Family Club of the Year'

Great for Newport County and somewhat for the other club, too

If its measured on percentage of numbers of fans divided by those contacted/engaged then obviously we are below minnows like Newpert and Swansnea.

It is. I’m going with the big up to Newport and our club can wallow in its own mud on this .

Was thinking same how did they come up with the figures? could be worse could be 92nd! But as a guide 8 of top 10 are run by supporters trusts or have fans on board and are div1 or 2 teams!

no background as to how they made this list up ...



but noticed Wigan finished 47 places higher than us , including higher scores for transparency and governance ... so can only presume that although the league knew nothing of the shenanigans that led to admin and a points deduction their fans were aware and ok with it.....

i know certain fans are not too keen on our board but you cant say they do what they can to help this club out.
OK Tan rarely turns up to games but he put his money where his mouth is and sorted out the clubs debts before him.

Choo and Dalmen have been quiet behind the scenes but they are just doing what any other board would do, the only thing that i hate though is the thought in the club that we have to sell players to buy players. We have been suffering in terms of funds but surely we are not that bad.

I think this pandemic was a chance for any club in the EFL or Premier League to do more for fans who miss going to see there team play this season, and its never too late to engage more with fans. They could interact with us by doing a little pole for fans to vote on concerning our kits. Just imagine if the club gave us options to choose from for the upcoming 2021/22 season. Maybe they can bring back the fan jukebox where fans could choose a certain track before kick offs as well. These are just 2 examples of what our club could do to engage and interact with us fans on.

So hopefully they do these things ahead of a potential crowd return next season.
