' SIX CARDIFF CITY PLAYERS WHO ARE ON THEIR WAY OUT AND NOT IN MICK McCARTHY'S PLANS FOR NEXT SEASON '
Plus we already know McCarthy has stated that none of the players on loan will be staying on including Harry Wilson.
Mick McCarthy, his coaching staff and the team of scouts are identifying the players they want for next season as the Bluebirds attempt to assemble a squad which can mount another promotion charge.

' Robert Glatzel '
- The German striker will almost certainly leave the Welsh capital this summer. Mick McCarthy confirmed he is available for a transfer, claiming he is "not going to be for me". Glatzel never truly reached the heights expected of him at Cardiff City Stadium, whether you think Cardiff 'never played to his strengths' or he simply does not suit Championship football is another question all together. One thing is for certain, he is not in Mick McCarthy's plans moving forward.
'Gavin Whyte -'
A player who divides opinion, but in this current system there doesn't seem to be anywhere he would fit. There are two very good right-back options ahead of him and he does not fit that second striker mould. He might have to go. McCarthy refused to rule out the Northern Ireland international's departure when asked ahead of the weekend and with the player having just won promotion with Hull City, it would be no great surprise to see him return there permanently.
' Junior Hoilett - '
Has not played since he was substituted off in McCarthy's first game up at Barnsley. His contract is up at the end of the season and all roads look to be leading to the exit door. Has been a great servant, but it looks very unlikely a new deal will be offered. He missed the win over Wycombe owing to a tight hamstring, but there might be more to that than meets the eye.
' Lee Tomlin ' -
One start all season and way off McCarthy's fitness expectations.
It was almost unthinkable he could leave, given last season's heroics, but being unfit and injuries have wrecked this season.
He looks to be completely out of favour under McCarthy, too. It just doesn't seem to be the right fit, which is a huge shame. Fans want nothing more than to see the magician in the fold and back to his best, but sadly it doesn't seems like that will be the case, with the player having been consigned to under-23s football for months now.
' Joe Day - '
Although it has not been officially announced, of course, Joe Day will be released upon the end of his contract this summer. The goalkeeper is currently on loan at Bristol Rovers.
Mark Harris/Max Watters - There is only room for one of these in the playing squad at the minute. They are too similar and won't get enough of a chance if both stay. It's up to McCarthy to decide who he believes has more chance to play next season. If one is kept on, the other must leave. Both need league football now, youth-team football is not going to help them develop, given the stages they are at in their careers.
' Jonny Williams - '
It is a tricky one,one start since January but has the Wales international done enough to earn himself an extension?
Perhaps he has not been afforded enough opportunity, rightly having to sit patiently behind Harry Wilson, and we will have to see how he performs in the final two games. Mick McCarthy loves him, as do Wales fans, but whether he warrants his clause to be triggered is a really difficult one. With Wilson and potentially Tomlin leaving, though, he might just get more game time next term. One to keep an eye on.
