Rubin Colwill Is actually our first real Accademy player to come through in 11 years , I hope we see him regularly and in the first team squad permanent :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Rubin Colwill:

"It was surreal. When I found out that I was playing I couldn't believe it, but to play was a childhood dream come true."

Rubin Colwill:

"Unbelievable feeling to get my first start for my club today ,thanks to the manager and staff for giving me the opportunity. Great 3 points and the boys were class :bluescarf: "

Mick McCarthy:

"It's lovely to be able to bring them in, especially when they are as talented and as gifted and as capable as he is, because he is all that," McCarthy said after the match.

"I thought he had a very good [full] debut. I thought he started the game really well, set up the chance for Josh and he has worked and done everything I asked of him.

"There's certainly things he can improve on and he knows that, we are working with him.

"As far as a debut goes - excellent. And I'm delighted because he'll be a squad member next season."

Annis I thought he had an excellent game, things are looking good with him and Sang, and the other good youngsters coming through  :occasion5: :ayatollah:

He was a real bright spark yesterday. Obviously there was a fair amount of talk about him and I was interested to see him play and he really looked like he has something, some of his movement and touches were class. Really excited to see him again in the last couple of games. His early involvement went well and that seemed to give him some confidence. I reckon we’ll see watters in for keiffer I’m the last game against Birmingham as that might be a complete dead rubber and it would be good to see what standard he is as well for next year

He did well and looked comfortable when on the field and was happy to take people on When he bulls up and gets a lot stronger and up to speed at this level I think we have a gem of a player in him

He provided a link between midfield and attack and he had an excellent first tough. Confident too and that will only improve.

It's been so long since we had an academy player coming through I had an overwhelming feeling of relief after the game... that he did so well.

Hopefully this is a start of a new era for the club.

Good to see him making his full debut. Didn't watch the game but sounds like he had a decent game.

Sometimes these boys just need to be given an opportunity. Hopefully see him start the next two as well.

Tom James one appearance in 2013-14 season and nothing after that, I meant actually making it sorry , but your right Rubin has not actually made it till he regularly plays :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

And as to Declan John, yes your right but he came through Sam Hammams Academy over 10 years ago and No one has made it through the present regime since.
