Didn't play badly, but was beaten for the headed goal, their other centre half was shocking. The 2 who played for us (Hudson and Gyepes)were very good again today - looks like Jones got the decision on who to favour spot on.

Re: gerrard.

He looked huge today, bearing in mind he is a tall lad, he is carrying far too much timber for a "professional" footballer, and he is still only young. Thought Hudson & Gyepes were great today as well.

He looked massive and sloppy at times.

Surely the boos were ironic after he got clapped by everyone before and after the game :?

No, he won most of the headers against him, except the one which mattered for our 2nd goal and fouled him constantly. Kough without looking 100% right was far to sharp and beat him to the ball time and time again, the lad was all over Keough, but the shite ref didnt want to know.

Every time he got the ball he panicked and normally launched it into touch even when he had plenty of time.

Your right mate, he kicked lumps out of keogh all game, i think a fully fit keogh would've rang rings around him

If his job was to stop Keogh, he did it. End of. HOW he did it is largely irrelevant.

Would've loved to have seen him up against Jay though, with Keogh feeding off the scraps.

He didn't really stop him though, despite being helped by a clueless ref, - Keogh set one up and almost scored a few times himself and thats despite not being 100% ready.

Like you indicate Jay would have ripped him another arsehole.

Totally agree. Big strong centre half who gave no second chances. Not a playmaker or anything but did his job and keogh, although brave to the end, knew he was a beaten man. Put a decent footballing centrehalf alongside him (a loovens or gabbidon type in their prime) and you would be much more positive in your opinion of him I reckon.

Hopefully he losses the pounds with Hull and comes back a better player :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
