I'm pretty sure this is not the reaction they were expecting from their own managers.

I don't think Klopp has made an official statement yet, none of the managers and players have. Talksport saying theyev asked for comment from all 6. 3 ignored, 3 declined to comment.

I'm imagining players and managers are disgusted too. But they'll be under heavy threat of sanctions if they comment.

There is a quote from 2019 from Klopp opposing this type of thing. This looks like a mash up of that.

Yeah, should have been clear, I'm not criticising him.

Important to remember that these are his employers and he has to be very careful about what he says in public.

He's seems like a decent bloke and a proper football man, so I would expect him to have strong conversations with the owners of Liverpool.

But you're right, there's not an awful lot he can say in public.

I expect the same questions will be asked over the next few days of Pep Guardiola, Thomas Tuchel and Mikel Arteta as Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal games - the same will apply to them, they won't be able to say much publicly but will have strong words to say to their respective owners.

Not so sure about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Saw his interview yesterday when it was being reported, and didn't come across well at all. Hope I'm wrong.
