A lot of people took a lot of flak for saying exactly this on this board. Terms like institutional and systemic have actual meanings even if those who use them are usually don't understand what they are.

Funny how all those who threw around lazy (and increasingly aggressive) accusations of racism (and worse) haven't piped up to denounce this as further evidence of statewide institutional racism presented by a black man who has internalised his whiteness.

Seriously, I reckon someone is going to actually use that kind of mental gymnastics so they can stay hooked on the blame porn they've become addicted to...

Nice to see the government actually made this public though, hopefully, it might mean some of this madness can start to wind down.

do you really think the madness will stop...?
honestly i think that ship has sailed.... people have been encouraged to seek out all the racism theyve been told they havent previously noticed... .. others to act on accusations first ask questions later for fear of being blamed for doing nothing about racism...
nothing will change and im afraid our sport seems to be numero uno target... going forward i expect more announcements to bewildered fans to stop racist chanting and more false arrests as the hunt for these racists continues.......

No, your probably right mate. Just caught me in a strangely optimistic mood. ;)

I suppose the glimmer of hope I see is that the intersectional doctrine that all this shite all stems out of can only ever eat itself eventually and there are signs of that happening all over the place.

JK Rowling being a trans-hating bigot, Alexi McCammond the black female Editor-in-Chief at Teen Vogue (bizarrely Teen Vogue has morphed into some weird hybrid of teen fashion mag and Pravda ) having to resign for old racist tweets, the banjo player in Mumford & Sons having to quit the band because he liked a book and so on.

Way I see it, every time someone falls out of the group it makes a few more people wake up to just how insane it all is and the whole oppression Olympics gets a little bit watered down and loses a bit more grip on society.

The big question for me is how much damage will be done before it eventually finally falls apart?

Spot on ,as it should be, some are desperate for the existence of racism they cling onto any cause for political reasons.

To give you an example, I went to primary school with a guy who had just moved over from Africa. He tells people that the school was racist because they asked if he could use a pen ...literally every child in that year had to use pencils until their handwriting was deemed good enough to use pen. We also both ended up applying for the same job with similar CV's and in fact I had better qualifications than him. Neither of us got it but he then went on a rant saying it was because he was black whereas I just accepted that there were probably more suitable candidates.

I'm not denying that racism exists. Unfortunately there's always going to be a small section of people who are racist, just like there are people who hate gays or fat people or whatever it is that makes people different. It doesn't make it right, but unfortunately that's just a sad fact of life.

What is now really sad to see is that discrimination is actually happening the other way around just so specific quotas are met. You could have a vastly superior person apply for a job but because they're a straight white male they don't meet the lefty virtue seeking agenda and will not be given the job as they need to hire more women or any of the above etc.

The main thing that would help is to make is to make it essential for anyone using social media to have to use ID to sign up, then any abuse given to a player or whoever can be traced easily, the person can be held accountable and it would also make people think twice before posting.

The Byline Times never had any to begin with. They even criticise Andrew Norfolk for exposing the industrial scale rape of children by Muslim Gangs in this country.

There's institutional racism at the BBC without a doubt. The sort the Guardian would encourage.

According to the BBC Idris Elba as "Luther" is not black enough? He does not reflect the realities of being black in GB? We have now entered a world of engineered BS. I think Idris, a fine actor can live with this.

I tried to cancel my TV license yesterday on the back of this, I've just had enough of their unbelievable woke claptrap. Unfortunately I was unable to do this online, apparently I have to phone up, that is my first job this morning at 8am when the lines reopen.

Yeah I thought that was pathetic by the BBC. Terrible.

On the other hand the BBC, Laura Kuenssberg has just become a PR mouthpiece for the Tories. The lack of challenging the Tories and government for their behaviour is astounding.

The BBC las lost it's way.

A very popular retired politician was the Ambassador for the organisation I work for.

He was a very nice guy who actually found some lovely things to say about his rival politicians. Despite political differences he spoke very fondly of some Tory MPs such as John major and Michael Portillo. However, he was absolutely scathing about Johnson and his chums. Absolutely scathing. Johnson and his elites HATE the working classes, stick mountains of cocaine up their noses and participate in mocking everyone who isn't rich like them. The were known as the 'ha ha club' because they mocked and laughed at everyone including black people, asians and gay people.

The point is regardless of your views on whether Britain has a problem with racism, we can't trust this bunch of cheats, charlatans and scammers with anything. They lie, cheat and laugh at any accountability. Matt Hancock gave a PPE contract to his sisters firm, of which he has between 10% and 15% shareholding.. it's stuff like this that the BBC should be crucifying the government for, not the pathetic politically correct nonsense.

It needs looking at, as does a lot of other contracts issued to Tory donors. The waste and cronyism of the Tory government in unprecedented. I hated Thatcher but she would never have allowed this level of corruption.

I call out all cronyism and corruption.. whether it's by people who I agree with politically or not. Happy to slag off lefties as much as the right wing.

I loathe Blair for many things, including scamming and grifting after he left politics.

And as much I hate what Thatcher did to the country, I can also call out Scargill for what he did... Made the miners strike all about him and for the power.

Churchill... Brilliant wartime PM, but an absolute horrible human being who's post war policies were racist and abhorrent. Both things can be true.

I think calling out all injustice and corruption is a good thing, burying our heads in the sand because we voted for someone is very damaging.

Its enshrined in the Equalities Act nukes, which when enacted only tends to encompass BME people, or whatever they're called this week. The Public Bodies are legally bound, and it is cleverly written to ensure the effect.

Equality would be a disaster for the industry, hence the outcry.
