Daily Telegraph:

A Wembley FA Cup semi-final is likely to be the first major footballing event to welcome back a crowd post lockdown - but none of those attending will be fans.

A totally pointless exercise. If they’re not fans they will probably remain seated during the match. And clap politely rather than standing up shouting and screaming for the entire 90 Minutes

Of course this is right. They need to check processes out. They can’t risk the kind of fans going who are outside Anfield, Ibrox, Elland Road etc.

Has to be done right and then real fans can be let in.

What will they be? Robots, dogs, cardboard cutouts ? If it's anything like when the NFL were testing having fans back in some places it was local nurses, ambulance drivers, fire fighters etc. that were given tickets.

Makes perfect sense to me then, I'm sure some will be actual fans of the teams playing. Not sure why some would think it pathetic to test a system though? No mention of the "prawn sandwich brigade" though? Mmmmm

Totally agree. It will not be a genuine test as they will not behave like real fans so what can they learn from it that they don't already know?

I think they have moved some Premier League games to allow fans in later on in May .
