‘Tell John Henry and Michael Edwards’: Some fans are messaging loaned-out Liverpool winger
Sunday 21st March 2021
Some Cardiff City fans on Twitter have urged Liverpool-owned winger Sheyi Ojo to make his loan deal permanent.
Ojo joined Championship club Cardiff on loan from Premier League outfit Liverpool in the summer of 2020.
The 23-year-old winger was in action for the Bluebirds on Saturday, as Cardiff won 1-0 against Swansea City away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Championship.
Defender Aden Flint’s goal in the eighth minute proved to be the difference between the two sides in the south Wales derby.
Ojo did not start for Cardiff, but the Liverpool-owned winger came on as a substitute in the 84th minute.
According to WhoScored, the former Rangers loanee has made 25 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Championship for the Bluebirds, scoring five goals and providing seven assists in the process.
The 23-year-old has expressed his delight on Twitter at the win for Cardiff, and some fans of the Welsh club have responded to his post by urging him to make his loan move permanent, as shown below.
The Bluebirds are eighth in the Championship table at the moment with 58 points from 38 matches, four points behind sixth-placed Reading.
