Could be 4 4 1 1 or as you say Ralls as a wing back in in 5 3 2.
Looks like trying to contain them and then maybe attack late on.

Make shift defence. Gutted really. Sadly, I think this is the double day. Question is whether McCarthy will recovery from defeat or will it be forever held against him?

I’d only show Ralls the door unless we get promoted and then I’d show the 4 of them the door

Cardiff City have been dealt a seismic blow tonight with the omission of Perry Ng.

The wing back has been one of Mick McCarthy’s best performers since he took over, but that whack on the knee against Stoke is enough to render him unfit for this evening’s clash.

It means Joe Ralls has been roped in to the unfamiliar position of left wing-back in a back five, with Cardiff also having no defensive options whatsoever on their bench.

Tom Sang retains his spot at right wing-back, while Will Vaulks and Marlon Pack are paired together in the middle.

No Josh Murphy or Sheyi Ojo, either, they will have to settle for spots on the bench, with Leandro Bacuna and Harry Wilson likely to play in behind Kieffer Moore.

On the bench, there are spots for academy products Sam Bowen and Rubin Colwill, a proud day for both of them.

The attacking options look strong for McCarthy, with Murphy, Ojo, Junior Hoilett, Jonny Williams, Max Watters and Mark Harris all among the replacements.

BBC are suggesting that Pack will play in the back 3 with Sang and Brown as full backs. God help us if true, We never have any luck. I am not sure I can watch this now. Feel sick already. 1 nil down in ten minutes here we come.
