Signs for Newport County for two months.


Joe Ledley has been without a club since leaving Australian outfit Newcastle Jets last year, and did have a trial with League One side Bristol Rovers.

However, with Rovers declining the chance to offer him a deal, the 77-cap Welsh international, who was a big part of the Wales side that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, has made the move back to south Wales.

After his unveiling, he said: "It’s a privilege to be here playing for Newport County.

Strangely enough, I saw him with his kids in Penarth on Tuesday, talking to a neighbour, and I heard him say “l hope it’s going to work out!”. I had no idea at the time what he was on about as I was just passing, but now we know!
