Wow a year gone RIP.
A true LEGEND.
There needs to be something permanent down the stadium to honour this man,I would suggest a renaming-
The Grange End Family Stand
“WHITTS END “

Peter Whittingham.
The most technically gifted player i've even seen watching city. The guy had it all and if he had a yard more pace he would have been worth a fortune. The club should honour him in some way, whether it's naming a stand after him or erecting a statue.R.I.P :bluebird: :bluebird:

Time goes so quickly, can't believe it's been a year. Absolute tragedy what happened to him. Wasn't his wife expecting when he passed? And does anyone know if she's OK and the new baby? Hope she's coping well.

I can't think of too many players who I saw score more goals at City games I attended in the past 45 years or so. Especially mid-field players. I will never forget his contribution to the club I support.

R.I.P Mr Peter Whittingham, if there is a true meaning of the word legend then Whitts fits that bill precisely. My favourite player of all time closely followed by Tony Evans.

I have posted this on another thread and someone has suggested something similar, but surely it is not beyond us as
a fanbase to get a campaign going to rename a stand and get it called The Peter Whittingham Family Stand.

Then when we are eventually let back into the ground it would be a wonderful tribute for his widow and parents to be invited to the official renaming so the whole club can pay their respects to a modern day legend.
