Paul Tierney will take charge of our match at Swansea City on Saturday.
He is listed as a FIFA referee.
Tierney has refereed 21 matches this season, although none of these have been in the Championship.
He has been in charge of one EFL Cup match and one FA Cup match, as well as 19 Premier League games.
He has shown 77 yellow cards and three red cards. Tierney has given five penalties this season - all five of the penalties he has awarded have been in the Premier League.
He has shown more yellow cards than any other Premier League referee this season.
He has refereed several high profile games in the Premier League this season, including:
Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool v Manchester United
Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea v Liverpool
He was in charge of our play-off semi final second leg at Fulham last season, when we won 2-1 but lost on aggregate. He showed eight yellow cards in that match, four for each team.

I think the red card for Joe Ralls in the last game ended the game for us really.
Swansea do seem to get a lot of penalties. Can only hope that Tierney will be more careful about awarding penalties, with no VAR to fall back on.

I thought he had a good game today.
Glad he didn't give in to the pressure from their players to give them a late penalty.
Good performance by him.

Tbh never noticed him which as we know is a sign of a good ref.

Only a handful of times he was fooled by them chucking themselves to the floor (especially edge of our box) But overall decent.

He was quite vocal. Heard him a lot telling players what he thought. Also him telling the JB bench to sit down and he'd make decisions and not them.
Whilst he's not been a favourite of mine, he's OK (sometimes!!)

their diving around on the pitch accompanied by an extremely vocal bench has won them a lot of games this season.. its defo been a deliberate ploy of theirs.. and this ref was not buying any of it... went over twice to tell them to sit down and behave themselves...

Agree with this and thought he controlled both the game and the collectively and pre-meditated whingeing Swansea staffs on the touchline
A weaker referee might have succumbed to the blatant gamesmanship of the Jacks of all tirades
At one point he clearly told the Swansea staffs that their synchronised jumping up from the bench was not a sign he was going to book a Bluebird player solely on their say so...
