Two decisions which couldnt understand at time was glatzel

Two decisions which couldnt understand at time was glatzel leaving without replacement+cunningham, should have kept both, glatzel would have done good in this system and would have give moore a break for sake of saving some wages, and cunningham good back up for LB/LWB or left of 3 CB

But had Bennett not got injured we would have been paying him 20k a week to sit on the bench or in the stands.

A few said at the time te glatzel leaving, with no replacement, and tbf MM said hed have no worries playing harris/watters etc, yet he hasnt?? Poor moore is knackered, and with wales also playing, will get next to no time to recuperate!!
Imho glatzel is better than anyone else we have after moore, and it could prove costly not to replace him I'm wondering if something happened behind the scenes between them?

He’s closer to Moore than Harris for sure. Looks like Watters is more like Harris than Moore.

Moore is a very special player but he does look knackered. However he did an awesome run first half where he beat about 4 players so maybe it was just an off day in front of goal.

Glatzel looks good when we look good. He’s not strong enough to drag us up. Would have been nice to have seen him get some minutes when we were flying but we have saved a lot of wages and may well get a fee in the summer.

A strange one for me.

Glatzel never set us alight and I was expecting us to off load him this summer cutting our loses. When he was shipped out this winter it just felt wrong for me unless the club had something else in mind. Well that something else has not happened unless it was Watters which if so is very risky. At least Glatzel showed he could score.

When we played well, glatzel looked good, and I think it was a risk too far, to rely on harris & watters to back up moore.
As you say, at least Glatzel showed given service, he could score.

The way MM talked about his leaving seemed very matter of fact, and a little strange to me? A bit like good riddance? We are beginning to struggle of late up front, but now have nobody MM seems to trust enough,to give moore a well deserved rest.

I think it's pretty obvious MM didn't want Glatzel and that's fine. The problem was that the prospective replacements didn't materialize.

They should have said that Glatzel could go as long as we could get the deals for his replacement (Jerome, Rhodes and others all had fairly advanced talks by the sounds of it) over the line. Just one of those windows that didn't quite come off.

If Moore needs a rest then we'll have to play very differently now. Not impossible but probably something MM would have preferred not to do.

Camerone Jerome and Jordan Rhodes were both lined up to come in but fell through at the last minute and Joel Bagan more than adequate replacement just a shame he picked up his injury straight away. However with Sang coming in he looks like a good addition to the squad and will get better as he becomes more confident

Not sure what your getting at? We are talking replacements for moore! Yes the 2 fell through, but therein lies the problem,we have nobody to step in for moore, the three youngsters we have are not ready to be thrown in,and when they do,we will have to change our game, hardly what we need, at this stage of the season! Agree that sang and bagan look good additions.but they aint strikers.
