“Having already had talks fall through at this home town club Cardiff City and now beaten to the purchase of Wigan Athletic, Jenkins is still determined to find the right club.”

I wonder what the sticking point was? Probably money, or maybe Tan didn't want to sell to that particular consortium. I suppose we'll never know.

Tried to buy Cardiff City even though nobody knew anything about it?? was then “Pipped at the post” to purchase a team that has been in administration and up for sale for over a year with no buyers??
Now, interested in buying a non league team??
All sounds a bit far fetched to me especially as it’s come from Daya
