KARANKA SACKED WITH REPLACEMENT TO BE NAMED BEFORE READING GAME -

Following rumours this morning, multiple sources are now reporting Aitor Karanka has indeed been sacked as Birmingham boss.

The Mail and The Telegraph are both reporting the news that many Blues fans have been waiting for.

The Spaniard was appointed in July but after a run of just 13 points gained from a possible 57 and only two wins in 12, his time has come to an end.

It comes after Blues were beaten at home 3-0 by Bristol City on Saturday.

Karanka was defiant in his post-match press conference after the loss, and when quizzed about his potential resignation he responded: “No chance.”

He leaves the Blues just three points above the relegation zone with 10 games remaining in the Championship.
