' Clinical finishing '

By Glen Williams

The counter-attacking style which has been favoured by McCarthy has turned Cardiff into a dangerous and clinical outfit who have the ability to really hurt teams on the break.

City have failed to score in only one game under the new man, that being their recent 0-0 draw at Huddersfield last Friday, which equates to 9.1 percent of their games.

That is far lower than the 25 percent of games under Harris in which they could not find the back of the net.

Interestingly, the team under Harris averaged five shots on target per game, which is the same as the current side. This clearly suggests that the Bluebirds have been far more clinical in recent times.

The increase in goals has seen the side average two goals per game compared with 1.3 per game before the arrival of McCarthy.
