' I dont think this is good for Cardiff City? '

City have said No, so Dragons are now asking to move to the Principality stadium :thumbright: :thumbright:

Just got told the rugby / Cardiff Blues tore parts of our pitch up

No problem with Football clubs using our pitch, but the EGG NO.

CARDIFF CITY'S BEAUTIFUL PITCH NOW BEING USED TO MUCH IN MY OPINION.

First Cardiff Blues use our pitch for a couple of games.

Then Newport County have just played 2 games.

Now Newport Dragons want to book their run in matches on the Cardiff City Stadium pitch.

THE Dragons are exploring the possibility of following Newport County AFC to Cardiff with a move to Cardiff City's Stadium for their Guinness PRO14 run-in.

The region, who are owned by the Welsh Rugby Union, have been in talks about making the short-term switch to take the strain off the problematic Rodney Parade pitch.

It could happen as soon as this weekend when they entertain Ulster on Saturday evening.

Do we really want Cardiff City's pitch to be ruined?

Opinions?

Crazy if this is allowed to happen.

Mate apparently City getting a very small fee every time, but for me in the long run it will cost City much more.

Surely common sense says no

This is 100% not a negative post but....
The way we play the high press, particularly against opposition who pass the ball around, I don’t think a pitch that’s not quite as fast as usual will have much effect on our style of play. However, it may well slow down the slick passing and pave of a team like Watford for example.

No chance ok for county to use it but keep rugby off it.... what's wrong with playing rugby on a beach far safer than grass...

Swans pitch just relaid and it's still terrible compared to ours

Annis. It’s a definite no from me. Newport have had awful pitches for years and years and done nothing about it. Always had drainage problems. Sharing the pitch with rugby teams is madness.

At moment dont have a home so no choice! Having said that there needs to be a solution found to the drainage problem that as always existed at the ground? Maybe lose couple rows of seats and raise pitch by several feet

Brezza, 100% with you on this, I cant see how it benefits us, only in the long run ruins ours and becomes costly.

Couldnt the egg boys use the new Vetch instead?

The jacks have had a new pitch ever since they couldnt removed the caravan tyre marks after the horse and peg fair they held on it last year.

Have I missed something here, but Why Are Cardiff Blues/ Rugby not playing on their own Arms Park pitch?
