Cardiff City's 'Anti-Fans'

Sun Mar 07, 2021 2:00 pm

Just a quick observation.

I get the vibe that some posters/supporters think that their 'loyal' support should be followed as an example as to what a fan should aspire to.

TO NEVER criticise the club or players. My feelings are this is a pretty boring existence, the club don't own mine or you're thoughts!

I'd suggest it would be the majority who use football as soundboard to let off steam, have a laugh and criticise player's/management if they so wish, whether in the stadium, or on social media. May I ask what's wrong with that?

Oh Yes, I forgot  It's because it could 'upset' players :D

May I also suggest it might be a tad harder for players in the league above. Media outlets such as sky's MNF go into great detail on player performances. Thicker skin needed

I get the impression these fans hate others having an opinion to the contrary. These are the 'Anti-fans' and need to squashed, or at least sprayed with a strong repellent.

The anti-fans hate other fans because they are scum. (Their words not mine) :? :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Thomas,

Your so right , if we criticise a player or the Committee, then suddenly we are not a true fan, by the usual suspects

For me a fan had right to his opinion no matter what.

A true fan for me is a fan who actually Supports their club ( watches them and goes their and cheers the team on where it matters) through the Bad & the Good times no matter what :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Once you pick your team or the team picks you, then it's for life.

Good times/bad times. Rough with the smooth.

Friendships made. Eternal optimism, Blue tinted glasses, cherished memories.

C'mon City :bluescarf: :occasion5: :bluebird: :D

I know loads of people who are fans they like Cardiff city always got an opinion never go and watch them for what ever reason.fine by me everyone got a choice.they prefer platforms such as this forum to praise/criticize .then there's the supporter a different animal has to be there in person most of the home games and as many aways as possible. In the 46 years since I became interested in the club ive mostly been a supporter rather than a fan.

I mean there’s already a post about it but I’ll bite.

There’s a significant difference between criticising players and criticising a person’s character. That happened 30 minutes into the game the other night. To a player who our manager has said needs supporting.

Some delight in not supporting. Those are the ones I was critical of. They are the ones who slag off the player’s constantly throughout the game. That’s not supporting in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy to boo at the end of the game if I feel it’s deserved but I won’t get on player’s backs. I will happily say if I don’t think they played well though.

Writing is so permanent compared to speaking

On Friday I said to my daughter "Murphy is having one of those games where nothing he try's comes off" I'd used to say you can tell if Nooney was going to have a decent game after 5 mins and we all loved him....

As it got worse i lost my patience with him, far different than if i was at the ground. I went from he is having a mare, to "fcuking hell Josh WTF !!!!but this is in my living room. At the ground i would have been on my feet clapping him loudly shouting "c'mon josh"

The internet is not real, being at the ground is.....They are totally different.

Mick said we played poor, is that allowed ?
