He'll probably play a couple of games for them and then get injured.

Good luck to him. Did the best the could for us and will never forget his efforts with us.
Once a bluebird always a bluebird. And a great welshman.

Yes possibly as Haverfordwests nickname is the bluebirds.

Not true.

He rinsed our club of money while being injured the whole time. When he did play, his heart didn't seem in it.

Once a jack, always a jack.

Harsh.

Andy Legg and Jason Bowen were quite cool for us.

Fair point.

Other ex-Swansea players we've had have been decent.

But I wouldn't class Richards in that category.

I also don't believe did "the best he could".

How can you compare those two to Richards? Legg is a city legend and bowen won us over...Jazz was and will never be a bluebird and cost out club a huge amount for little return. We swapped him for malice who was then sold for 5million to Huddersfield

Re: ‘ Wow Jazz Richards Signs for ‘

He probably bought the club then signed himself.

Re: ‘ Wow Jazz Richards Signs for ‘

Sun Mar 07, 2021 8:41 am

For all his injury issues, I am actually surprised Jazz couldn't get another professional club...

Or was it he simply didn't want it? :?

I was never one of his detractors, as I recall (a) the abuse he took from some (starting on his debut at Birmingham City) simply because he was an ex-Jack, and (b) that (for the short-minded) he actually put in a shift for the Bluebirds when he was fit and was lauded on many occasion by those who could see beyond the smog...

He'll always be a 'Jack' as it was his club growing up and that is fair enough; sometimes it's not a choice but just plain bad 'life luck'... :laughing6:

Jazz has gone from the CCS and he will have done so with a particularly healthy bank balance which, given his geographical location, will go further than had he been from Lundinium

Best of luck to him, I say; not the best player we ever gave alms to from that patch; but nowhere near the worst player we ever had from there either

He should never ever have been given an extra season’s contract,,, along with Connolly at the same time. Complete waste of money and resources,

It did seem like any excuse not to play. It has to be a mental thing.

Jazz Richards made the move to Cardiff in 2016 and made 57 appearances during his four seasons with the Bluebirds.

After refusing in the first few games, Jazz after bad publicity, then did it.

And what a waste of money, another player we lost a fortune on.

"After refusing in the first few games"

Bristol Rovers was our second game of that season and 5 days after the Birmingham game where he got slated for not doing it. (Some reckon he did it in the second half of the Brum game but I can't honestly remember)

Ok if he finally done it, but I know very good friends of his family and from day one he never wanted to be with us and for me, it was not just injuries, he never gave it his best and he really does love the Jacks.

We paid him a fortune for 4 years.

I give everyone a chance, but i feel we had the mick taking out of us.

He was born and raised in Swansea and spent most of his life living there. He also played in their youth academy and got promoted to the first team where he spent several years training and playing for the first team. I have no doubt about his love for Swansea.

Within 45 minutes of making his debut he's getting dogs abuse from his own fans and then after the match there's people giving him grief on Twitter, Facebook, etc and a several page long thread on here slagging him off for not doing the Ayatollah, despite him, the club and multiple fans claiming he did.
It's hardly surprising he didn't exactly feel motivated.

For what it's worth there was a period just after Warnock took over where he looked one of the better players in the team before he got injured again, I think saying he never gave his best is unfair.

As for paying him a fortune, his injury record and lack of consistent playtime was well known before the club offered him a 4 year contract. That's more of an error on the club's behalf than Jazz's.

I agree yet again the CCFC Committee have to take responsibility.

I knew Richards background well, Swansea through and through and injury prone.

Also he did play quite a few games well for us :thumbright: but 50 odd games in 4 years, not enough in my opinion.

Most were happy when he signed.

He does seem made of glass though and one of them that won’t play unless he feels 100% fit.

Didn’t we swap him for Malone?
