Apparently the signing was made by the board without

Sat Mar 06, 2021 8:26 pm

Apparently the signing of Max Watters was made by the board without any agreement from Harris and was put out as million£ but was only £100,000.

Mick McCarthy apparently don’t see Watters as part of his plans?

Part of its true, yes Watters was a Tan signing and yes they got Media Wales to put out £1mill   but it was more than £100,000 it was £200,000.

I know the CCFC COMMITTEE have been clueless but they would not waste £1mill on a Crawley player and who has been in only recently League 7 & 9 . They surely are not that naive?

A bit like they got Media Wales to say Jonny Williams was £200,000 but he was actually free and £50,000 wages in total for 3months.

And Kieffer Moore was a bargain at £1milll plus £500,000 add ons :thumbright: :thumbright: not £2mill.

Also Media Wales put out Harry Wilson was £1mill fee on loan fee plus £25,000 a week , when Wilson was zero loan fee and we’d pay £15,000 a week max wages :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

City this season have spent zero in the transfer market as they have received more in selling players and Big Mick saved us from Relegation :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

They try and make it look like we are spending more money than we are, that's the truth of it.

Fortunately, most people can see through it.

Correct Ned,

But in fact we spent zero this season and sales of players brought in more plus £36mill from Sky.

We were on our way to relegation.

For Big Mick has saved us big time :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

As previously stated; Neil Harris was not involved in the vast majority of transfers... ;)

If that’s true about Harris not being involved, it’s pure madness at ccfc. Can’t see big mick putting up with such nonsense mind so hopefully things have changed. :bluescarf:

I’m sure this is true regarding watters however it’s no problem for me. He is worth a gamble for a couple of hundred grand. He’s 21 and was scoring goals for fun in league 2 so worth a punt. If it doesn’t work out and we sell him to league 1 or 2 In a year or so we haven’t really lost much.

Only time will tell but I can't see Mick McCarthy not having an opinion (he is never short of one of those) and I am sure it was discussed during recent negotiations

With Harris, he accepted the job with certain (well discussed on here) conditions, which meant he was a bit (or a lot?) of a 'yes' man from the start. He 'needed' the job rather than was 'wanted' for it and under the financial restraints one of the reasons the owner liked him was that he was, as they say 'compliant'

As I said before, in reality he was Head Coach rather than Manager in all but name

Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy.

Who is advising this committee?

Is the model to gamble on these transfers to sell on and make a profit?

BIG MICK WONT TAKE ANY NONSENSE & WILL DO AS HE WANTS :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Thats why Malky, Warnock & Big Mick are by far the best managers we have had out of these below, in the last 11 yrs :thumbright: :thumbright:

Probably not but I suspect that Jonny Williams was a McCarthy signing and so far he has been as much use to us as a chocolate teapot. Might prove his use in the run in but why bother signing a player who is only good enough for the subs bench. If most of our recent signings are down to the board they have done quite a decent job.

It’s true.

Yes Jonny Williams is a McCarthy signing, his only one. No fee, no signing on fee and £50,000 wages in total for 3months and has been a help in part of the back room staff :thumbright:

He helps the back room staff. The physios are getting a lot of practise working with him. Especially now Jazz has left.
