Swansea beat Middlesbrough 2-1 today.
During the match, Middlesbrough controversially had a goal disallowed and Swansea were given a controversial penalty in the last minute.
Middlesbrough remain four points behind us and this is what their manager, Neil Warnock, had to say about Steve Cooper and Swansea City:
“I’ll have to ask Steve for a contact number for his dad, Keith Cooper, he must have influences somewhere. They had a penalty on Wednesday which was never a penalty. They probably will be promoted if they keep on getting the right referees."

Gavin Ward first gave a corner then seemed to think it over and changed his mind and gave a penalty, this on top of disallowing what looked like a good goal for Middlesbrough. NW not a happy bunny tonight.

"I
t wasn't a fluid game. I think you come up against certain teams, managers and styles and you know it's going to look a certain way at times. It was probably a bit too much of that, truth be told.Post match comments from Steve Cooper seems like he doesn't like having to slum it against the likes of Neil Warnock. Got his head up his arse if you ask me.

Bt would sky different opinions.. when you see it look where swans player is compared to boro player he is at least 2ft further away from ball when boro player stretched to block ball swans player then stretched to get to a ball was never going to win and "fell" over defenders leg ... but you need to see the most outrageous mistake probably made this season to disallow boro goal. And ref was looking straight at it from couple yds away..

I'll have to have a look at it but either way it's a great result for us and our quest for a play off place

Yes nothing we can do about them but boro lose ground on us slightly
.... lots to ay for but what is remarkable is how the top 8 teams are so consistent (except Bournemouth) several on 4 or 5 game winning streak others like us unbeaten over fair few games so lots to play for still.
