"I'm hoping I will get another start and he will get a start

The Curacao international, of course, will come up against his brother, Juninho, up in Yorkshire.

BACUNA:

"I spoke to him after the (Derby) game, they drew," he said of his brother. "It would be nice to play against him. I think we have played against each other three or four times.

"I'm hoping I will get another start and he will get a start.

"It's a funny one. When you are on the pitch, there is no brotherhood! Off the pitch, though, we are good friends again.

"It's a footballer's mindset. When you are on the pitch, there are really no friends.

"You've got to do what you've got to do for your team and fight hard; even if he is your brother, we aren't friends on the pitch!"

It's certainly fighting talk from the City midfielder, but Cardiff have a wider battle on their hands when it comes to the play-offs.

With a dozen games still left to play, they find themselves embroiled in an almighty tussle for those last two play-off spots, with Reading, Bournemouth, Barnsley and Cardiff all within four points of each other between fifth and eighth.

But Bacuna, at least for the minute, is still towing the party line.

"We can't get carried away, we have just got to keep both of our feet in our shoes," he said of Cardiff's play-off chances.

"We have to just focus on the next game and keep looking up the table and see if we can keep winning games.

"Not losing games, too, the defence has been perfect. Without the defence, the forward players can't score, so they are helping us out."

Another watertight performance will be the order of the day, then, up at the John Smith's Stadium under the Friday night lights.
