A terrible first-half by City 1-4 v League 1 Charlton and Watters was very poor.
Brown continually gave the ball away and looked out of place. Standard here a lot higher than in Scotland.
City were second best in all departments.

Mick McCarthy will be a keen spectator at Leckwith as Cardiff City's under-23s take on Charlton Athletic in the Professional Development League this afternoon.

Senior players Max Watters and Ciaron Brown will feature for the young Bluebirds this afternoon, both of whom have a point to prove to McCarthy.

The young duo have had precious few minutes in the senior team over the last month or so and McCarthy is eager to see how they get on.

However, there is no Lee Tomlin, who has played each of the last two games, meaning one of two things; he has suffered an injury setback or, Cardiff fans will hope, he is being lined up for some involvement against Derby County with the senior team on Tuesday night.

As for the under-23s as a whole, Steve Morison's side are on an impressive five-game winning streak and will hope to extend that this afternoon.


Kick-off is at 2pm.

Totally agree, Brown playing in Scotland is way different than playing here.

This is why Big Mick is not impressed with them both (Watters).
