"Set-play, we knew what they were going to do. They have created numerous chances before in different games that we have watched.

"It's difficult to stop when they have that big a height advantage on you, but we gave them another leg-up with the penalty, which is not good enough. It's sloppy play.

"We were a lot better second half. We created more chances and it could have ended up 2-2.

"We are trying to get as many messages across as possible. We have got another game on Saturday and we need a reaction. I want a big reaction out of the players - I want them to show me how much pride they have got to get this next win."

I think they will score the perfect goal this season, but lose too many games trying.

In the second half they were trying to get the ball in between three centre halfs and the wingbacks returned to full-backs. Talk about threading the needle.

Exactly that. They have some fantastic 'footballers' but probably not the right set up to get out of this league.

On their forum somebody said during the match... "It's like playing Burnley every week in this division." He's not wrong!

What I noticed last night :-

Bournemouth were trying to con the ref at every given chance (fair enough). They were getting quite ratty when things werent going their own way with some of their players starting to lose it a bit. Who was that idiot with the stupid hair cut , I think it was Billing, the sort of player I take an instant dislike to in the way he plays.

Bournemouth arent a premier league team on any level, very small ground, rubbish support. The only good thing about the place is the beach - and that is full of wannabe cockney chavs. Unless they go up this season - they'll do a Blackpool and drop a league within a couple of years.

Looking at their forum last night it was evident that their fans have a misplaced sense if entitlement to the PL, they had it good for too long.
