You can see the change in the team and performance of late - All down to what has happened in the last 7 games .

We are away from danger of going down as some ( Not Me ) were going on about on here and other places .

The chance of Going Up / Top 6 is now on the cards - Thanks to MM / TC and the players over the above time .

Time to see what happens the next 2 - 3 months - But MM / TC should be given longer at Our club :bluebird:

Re: " JUST INCREDIBLE "

Was thinking about this just after the game - only two of the players involved tonight were actually on loan.

Don’t get me wrong Wilson and Ojo are brilliant on their day, but if MM and TC don’t pull off the miracle it still bodes really really well for next season.

Tony, How the hell we hung on to Harris and his bullshit for so long.

Even the players had , had enough of him.

It is like a dream :bluebird: :bluebird:

Outstanding.

I said I would wait until the end of the season to judge McCarthy, but to be honest I've made my mind up already.

Will be amazed if we don't offer him a new contract.

Big Mick has said, the younger ones will be used more on less tougher games.

There were not many younger players in the City squad tonight.

In games like tonight, you have to rely more on old hands.

Honeymoon has turned into reality.

Who would bet against us reaching the play off spots. Even a number of Jacks are talking about a South Wales Derby final. Auto would be nice but I feel that might be a bridge too far but if we do get to the play offs no one will want to come up against us that's for sure.

You can see from the above words - Carling cup /EFL Cup - U23's - FA Cup - Mick will give the younger players a chance .
When it comes down to winning the 6 pointers - You go with what has got you there in the last 6 games :bluebird:

Biggest pisser is we are not in the stadium to show our support to manager players which could help on the run in and get us over the line especially if we stay in the play offs

As always with success comes expectations comes pressure but Big Mick looks up for it.

I wonder what Neil Harris is thinking now

Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:49 am

I wonder what Neil Harris is thinking now.

Same players , same size goals and ball. Nothing has changed apart from Harris & co getting the boot and MM an TC (Top Cat) coming in.

Nothing else has changed other than man management and maybe a few things on the pitch.

Harris must feel like a complete waste of space, what has MM got that NH didnt have ?

Harris needs to back to the drawing board as far as management, coaching, tactics, team selection, motivation, game management, game analysis and just about every other aspect of football is concerning and do it all again. As he clearly learned nothing - I think losing the dressing after selling Patterson was Harris nailing his own coffin.

Whilst I'm obviously loving Big Mick, we shouldn't forget that the same 'bullshit' or whatever people are slagging Harris, he got us from 14th to 5th last season.

Yes it looked like he'd lost it a bit, and it was right he went when he did, but a bit of respect for the man please.

When Harris was sacked, someone put a link to the Millwall forum on here. No idea how much truth is in this but someone on there claimed to be involved with the club and said that Harris's man management was poor, he wasn't very good at motivating players and he didn't delegate tasks very well as he wanted to be seen as no.1.

No idea if that was the case here. I just think he was lost without Tomlin and his tactics and team selection were wrong. Wilson outwide playing with no width. Ralls, pack and vaulks in the middle. It was said on here for a long time that trio wouldn't work and we would be better putting wilson or ojo central. Harris just didn't see it or was too stubborn to change it. Wish it worked out as that would have meant the club doing well. But Harris only has himself to blame for failing this season as he didn't learn from his mistakes

I posted tge same on another topic, after getting us to play offs, many on here(me too) were all for giving him the next year, and look where that took us!
Let's wait until the season is done, and see where we are,as if I recall, a fair few were happy that MM was only given a short term deal? But to date he has outperformed what 99% on here believed he would achieve(basically stop us from the drop) lets get behind MM & the boys, enjoy the ride, and no turning after a bad result!

Technically he has spent a penny as he has brought one player in and we are paying his wages though he has yet to play a game.

Two things have impressed me about McCarthy firstly he has got the formation exactly right for the players we have got and they are thriving because of it.Secondly the work rate is absolutely terrific in the last two matches we have visibly out worked the opposition. The press from the front three is not allowing the opposition to play the game they want too. Hope it doesn't take to much out of the players remember the Leeds United side of a couple of seasons ago who blew up at the end of the season. Think McCarthy will have to tread a careful path between not changing a winning team and not wearing the players out.

The way McCarthy has got them playing has shown up the limitations of Harris I was surprised at how negative Millwall fans were about him considering that he did quite well for them but can see their point now. The fact is McCarthy is just a much better manager than him and his record confirms it.
