There were not many younger players in the City squad tonight.

First-Half: Bournemouth started brightly and were the better side for 25mins, then bang Morrison header put City in the lead and then City took total control of the first-half


Second-Half:Dillon Phillips had to make a number of quality saves, it was backs to the wall for Cardiff players for the majority of the half.




Big Mick named an unchanged team.

First 25mins Bournemouth looked the better side & created more chances, worrying as NG gave a quite few free-kicks away, foul after foul & offsides.



31mins then out of no where ,Cardiff take the lead, Harry Wilson's corner and Morrison jumped way the highest, header bang 0-1 Sean Morrison Yes


City then pressed Bournemouth even more, Cardiff were now by far the better side.

Pack gives the ball away and Bournemouth break 60 yards upfield before Long nods home from a deflected shot.1-2



Bournemouth took control and it really was backs to the wall for the City players, attack after attack by Bournemouth.



Phillips continued to make more saves.


Bournemouth must wonder how they never got back in to this game.

Outstanding defensive performance in the second half.

Took our chances well in the first half with a great header by Sean Morrison and another brilliant penalty by Kieffer Moore

Six wins in a row is unbelievable, and now into the top six

I don't think anyone thought that was possible nine games ago.

Now it's up to us to hopefully stay there

Where do you even start summarising that... Firstly the pressing in the first half was immense, should probably have been 3 or 4 up at half time.

Think we made the second half difficult for ourselves, but that was some defensive performance. The sheer grit and determination in the team is clear to see, incredible.

Carry on like this and we really do have a chance .

Nothing but positives all around but not quite in our hands just yet.

Barnsley have a game on us and only a point behind. We dont play them again.

Performance first half outstanding with the press...second half backs against the wall as expected as Bournemouth have some top players..but held strong .pack had a good game until the pass that led to the goal ..Philips isn't giving that jersey up anytime soon..great performance again...come on !!!

Only team in championship to win 6 in row this season.

Great win and long May it continue.Thier goal knocked us back and it was all hands on deck.Phillips kept them out and MOTM.I did think we should have used another sub near the end tho.

Get in there City....Got to catch the scum, on this form theres a massive chance of that, and with an experienced gaffer like Big Mick, im sure he can keep this form going!

I never doubted it hope they get to fly up and back to Boro roll on Saturday

There’s a similar feel to when Warnock did this with us the first year he was with us but obviously the credit all goes to McCarthy and Connor they have done remarkably with us in such a short time. Sometimes managers and clubs go very well together and that’s what’s happened here. Whatever happens at the end of the season regarding MMc’s contract, I hope the board recruit in the same way they did when they appointed MMc rather than some previous appointments

MY THOUGHTS:
I Predicted A 2-1 Win For The Bluebirds And They Did Exactly That. It Was Not An Easy Win As Many May Think Though, After A Fantastic Cross Into The Box Captain Sean Morrison Headed The Ball Into An Empty Net. With An Odd Celebration From The Skipper . But That Was Not The End As Bournemouth Handed Cardiff A Penalty Which Moore Puts His Laces Through And It Rocketed In The Top Corner Of The Goal. But I Knew In The 2nd Half We Would Concede At Least A Goal And That Just Happened.

But After This Happened Even Though They Had A Boost In Confidence The Lads Battled To Get Over The Finishing Line. So Well Done Lads Everyone Played There Part To Grab 3 Points Onto The Next Big Game Against Middlesborough Where We Could Be Seeing Former Bluebird Mendez-Laing Playing.

Chances are we will drop out because its so tight but we will be in with a great chance to finish top 6 no question about that..
